Fun with Adobe Illustrator

I know my post is a little late but I was planning to get more done. Sadly not by much but today's things are still kinda cute. Here's some design type thingies I made for my portfolio. The last month ive been watching so many Adobe Illustrator Tutorials and im dedicated to painting realistic food on them! One day! (check this artist out, she's amazing! click me!) It's one of those things thats pretty easy but the hardest damn thing to learn ever.

p.s. I learned how to bedazzle my food paintings with digital sparkle and glitter!!!

Basket Making

I cannot even begin to say how chaotic the last few week's have been. For those of you who read my blog know that I have been attempting to build a rather large design portfolio in a small amount of time. Im happy to say I just finished a very beautiful and cohesive portfolio that equally match's my Illustration skill's. There's obviously always something to work on but for now I am satisfied.

During this time I finally took advantage of a gift certificate I received for christmas. It was for a basket making class. I truly enjoyed it. It's a relaxing craft that can be done outside my career realm to help me relax. Hopefully there will be more baskets to show in the near future! Oh! The Illustration! I almost forgot. I made a thank you card for the teacher (who gave me the certificate).

Malala Yousafzai

So today's post will be about a recent magazine cover I created for New Moon Girl Magazine. This specific project proved to be a little more challenging then others had been. We went through a couple different versions and I really love them both but I wish I had more time to perfect the facial features. Here's a bit of the process I went through to show the development towards the finished result.

A major bummer was not having my name credited in the magazine due to a print mishap. But you can read my bio and see links to my work through their website and twitter.
